I regret not yet having received from you an answer from

HL. Secretary of State for the Colonies as to the serving of

the Writ in my above mentioned action on Craig & Co. Ltd. aent

by the R. Ct. of Justice to Hongkong about Augt. 1916 and to which

your letter of 10th Augt. 1916 referres.

And I beg to inform you that as Mr. Bingham one of the

defendants is now in England and wishes this action to be tried

3.9 soon as possible I to-day have sent a copy of the writ to Mr.

Leo d'Almada del Castro, Solicitor at Hongkong requesting him to

assist me in serving the writ on Craig & Co. Ltd.
